Bone Cancer Stages
As the tumor progresses in
your body, it passes through different stages. Knowing the stage of the disease is very to determine an
appropriate treatment. Stages of bone cancer include:
- Stage I
- at stage 1, the cancer is limited to the bone and
hasn't spread to other areas of the body.
- Stage II
– a stage 2 bone
cancer is still limited to the
bone and hasn't spread to other sites of the body; the tumor, however, has increased in size and tended
to be aggressive.
- Stage III
- At stage 3, bone cancer has
become aggressive; the tumor has affected two or more areas in the same bone.
- Stage IV
– at the final stage, the
cancer has spread beyond the bone to other organs of the body: brain, liver or
lungs.
